My optimism about the move is waning today. Is it possible that I will make it safely out of this house with one husband, three children and all our worldly possessions?

Do you have the ability to pay for a moving company to pack a lot of your stuff? That would ease a lot of that stress. You still get the rooms decluttered and organized (without lifting heavy things), and then they come in, pack it all up, and load the truck.
i'm with Heather. i bet, if your church can't afford it, you could contact your new district and let them know you situation and they could come up with some funds to pay for a moving company. AND, if that doesn't work, i bet we could start a fund raiser and get enuf to do it!
Yes, actually the church is willing to pay for packing. Can you believe our good fortune? It will be fine. I'm feeling discouraged today because I want to charge in and get things done.
