The last few weeks have been a little taxing. Since my trip to Atlanta we've had Vacation Bible School (Ben at work a LOT), a week of pouring rain (cabin fever in August?), a week of rotating runny noses (empty Kleenex boxes in August?), and last week my computer's wireless connection finked out. When I want to work online with my computer, I sit on the floor of our spider-webby laundry room with my computer balanced on an overturned trash can so that I can reach the modem cord. This series of annoyances has sent my sense of humor for a long nap under the bed covers.
Recently Samuel woke it up.
He pointed out a cross on my tea mug, which prompted me to ask, as I have on occasion, "Do you remember what the cross means?"
Samuel: Jesus.
Mama: Right!
S: Daddy is Jesus!
M: Well, no. Daddy is a person and Jesus is a different person.
S: Daddy is another Jesus?
Maybe I should tell him that Daddy is Lightning McQueen.
